Wow. I have an AEM SRI on my P5, and do not have the same issue at all. This is actually my second AEM intake. The first one went on my Dodge Neon. Each time, a little twisting during install was necessary before tightening everything down to get proper clearance around the intake, but real no issues with fit or finish. Based on my firsthand experience with AEM, I still think it is a quality product. However, I am astonished at the customer service that you received. IMO, get your money back and buy the e-bay CAI.

On a side note, I had a big headache with intake makers in the past, too. Only it was Iceman, when I had my Neon. I ordered an Iceman for it, and waited for months on end for the part to arrive. It was a quality product, but unavailable. The rep told me that Iceman had a warehouse fire, and was severely backordered on product. I negotiated with the salesman at Modern Performance to send me the AEM at no additional cost. He did.
