I would say that is a correct assumption. For instance if you look at the HiBoost turbo kit, which locates the air filter in the stock location, I am sure that having the CAI with that setup would bring more gains.

I have the AEM and It sounds good and you can feel the pick up
its pretty low at the bottom of the engine its juct like a cai.

FYI: for those living in the Vancouver area, they're selling the Ractive intakes for $100 Canadian ($70 USD) at Overseas Auto. Polished Aluminum but no powder coating.

out of all dynos, aem has the highest, i think people get injen cai because of their looks, but whether or not the air is cold, a short ram sucks up more air, which our engine responds to, i recommend aem
