Question Aftermarket Torque Converter for P5?

hey guys!

my friend who has a WRX in auto tranny said that pretty much all the WRXer's first mod was a torque converter because apparently it boosted low end acceleration by a LOT... now I was just wondering if you guy know whether or not upgrading the torque converters in our cars will make much of a difference and who manufacturs them for our cars?

here's a link to the guys who make the WRX one:

Talking WEEEEEEEHOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I finally found a company that makes a torque converter for our cars!!!

We have a Performance Torque Converter that will give you gains of .5-.8
seconds off your 1/4 mile times. Cost is $565. The stall is usally raised
1000rpms over stock.

Thanks,

Pro-Tech Transmissions
that price is in US$, you guys think it's worth it?

the guy i talked to said it would... and it comes with a warranty so i guess if your tranny gets hooped, they're gonna hafta get me a new one!
but i dunno... i'm still debating whether or not a higher stall speed is worth $565....
