Air intake on ebay
what about the air intakes on ebay....? For like $50 canadian?
any good? what kind of HP would I get? Also my car is leased... any possibility i could install it? (because of the 8000km check) i would like to take out and install it myselgf everytime i take my car in.
any thoughts?

Leased mods
Not a good idea. You get what you pay for. If this was the real deal, you wouldn't be able to buy them because of the "Sold Out" scenario.
Also a bad idea to swap parts like that before the check-up. Say you get into an accident with the aftermarket stuff installed - even if you have the stock part in one hand and a wrench in the other, good luck trying to swap it out while running beside the tow truck.
Don't do it, man...it ain't worth it.

The only intake that is supposedly showing real gains is the Injen cold-air that places the filter outside the engine compartment, down behind the front bumper through a stock hole in left frame rail. The others all take air from inside the engine compartment. Removing the stock resonator I would think wont give you anything except maybe a "cooler sound". If anything the stock setup at least draws air from the grill/hood leading edge area.
