Air intake options

Air intake options
I've been searching the web for different manufactures of both "Cold Air Intakes" and "Ram Air Intakes" and have come up with some very limited options.
So, I was wondering, besides AEM and Injen, what other manufactures where out there.
I just got a 2003 Protege ES (2.0L Auto) and while I have run across a few manufactures (such as Weaopn-R) that make intakes for the MP3, I'm having diffuculting finding intakes for my engine.
Yes I could just go with either AEM or Injen, but I do like to explore my options.
Thanks
Oh, and what exactly is CARB Exemption?

I *think* the company is MHP and I think ractive makes one as well... Ractive I, personally wouldnt trust. As for CARB Exemption I have no idea, sounds like something to do with a Carberuator (sp?) (we have fuel injection not a carb.)

Look at the minimal hp increases from using either setup.
I got my ractive intake and exhaust which most likely will boost the same hp as compared to the more expensive items if cost is what your after.
The hp power gains are pathetic for the cost.
I paid a mere $70.00 for my intake and $140.00 for the exhaust 2 bolt flange. I have a price of getting the cat back half done for 55.00 from a local muffler shop.
It is all based on how much you want to support the money hungry people out there.
The Ractive intake is the same as the AEM, INJEN, remember that those are big names and alot of items only have 2-3 real manufactures. So your getting the same but with a name brand.
Unless you get a speacilty built item which is highly doubted. The cost of Tubing dies alone are over $200 for a home bender. The end rubber peices are also peices that are bought from another manufacture. Every company says that they make there items.
This is my opion after being in the Purchasing field and manufacturing fields for about 7 years
You would be surprised that the company that builds bikes for GT also builds Huffy

K&N also makes one called the Typhoon, but at $400 U.S. it is way pricey. I haven't seen any pics of the actual Protege part, but for other applications, it looks like the Injen. Not sure if it's a true Cold Air setup or not. I don't mind paying for quality, which K&N is known for, but would like to hear from anyone that has this unit before I jump off a $400 cliff.

K&N Typhoon
I was looking at this set-up, and have a hard time justifying the $400+ cost.
In looks like a basic CAI.
There are some reviews at http://www.carreview.com but not enough to go on yet.
Thanks for the input

www.procarparts.com sells a CAI for 80 bucks but looking at the pic it only looks like a short intake and not a CAI.?????

R & M racing makes a good cold air intake for 2000-2003 Pro's go to their web site and have a look. I have one and it is awesom. A very clean neet kit that is easy to install and the cold air scoop goes behind the lower grill.

The K&N CAI produces a max gain of 7 whp, but i don't have dynos or anything. I don't know how it affects the rest of the powerband. I might get one for free since i prototyped with K&N for my celica GT-S, but those aren't done yet so he said i could have an mp5 one if i wanted. I don't know if i'm gonna do it tho :P
I can guarantee you guys that K&N has the best quality stuff, and they test on at least 4 different cars and they try every year so it works awesome. Injen and AEM CAIs always threw check engine lights on the celicas and it drove people insane, and the K&N was awesome, even when it was a prototype.
