Another attempt at more power...
Ok,
Got bored again, so I decided to hook up an extra guage to my 2.0L ES..and apparently the ECU likes to run pretty rich at the top end(over 4200RPM)..my question would be, for those still running NA...wouldn't leaning out the ECU some help to create more power?? It seems to be dumping a lot of fuel and this also hurts fuel economy. I know that these cars get a lot of there information from the O2 sensor..so would changing what volts the ECU reads from the o2 sensor inadvertantly cause the ECU to lean the mixture out as it gets higher in the RPM range? Kind of like a Fuel Cut defendor for boosted cars..but instead tricking the ecu into reading a dif voltage from a MAP sensor, it tricks it from the O2 sensor?
This could all be hogwash and may not work at all, but i thought i'd throw the suggestion out and see what u all thought...
