Backorder for Mazda Sport Exhaust

I prepaid for a Mazda sport exhaust but now they are saying that I won't get it til July, I wonder if they are still going to give me the Mazdaspeed one or they are going to make another one?

Help is gladly appreciated.

They should be selling the P5's with that muffler already installed.

I wish they did, but since I got my car 4 months ago I have no choice, plus I like how its one piece just bolt on, I could of got some other brands or other the bosal catback but it cost much more and other univeral mufflers have to reweld, so my only option was the mazda one, which I think looks good.

Don't fell bad. I ordered mine in Jan. and just got it last month.
It's worth the wait, I mean it doesn't do much for HP but it does look good and sounds great.

Okay, I know I don't know much about this, but I'm gonna ask the question anyway. What's the difference between the "Sport Exhaust" like the one Mazdaformance has and the "Mazdaspeed" exhaust. I want the Mazdaspeed version, but my dealer dosn't seem to know what I'm talking about. I really like the one "ProRed" has. Anyone have a part#?

I ordered mine from the dealer ship I got my car at. They also gave me a 20% discount so it only came to 316.00 CDN plus taxes.

I believe that is the axle back 'sport exhaust' that Racing Beat designed for the MP3. As far as I know, there is no MazdaSpeed exhaust for the 3rd gen Proteges.

nelnel: damn.. what dealership did you go to? that's a nice discount ... list price is $395.

the guy from Alberta who first posted the pics told me that the ~$300 exhaust is the Mazdaspeed one.. that the MP3 exhaust is only about $100 and most dealers can't get it anyway.

i will check tomorrow with my dealership about when this damned mazdaspeed exhaust is going to be available ... hopefully i won't have to wait too long but july is far away.

rjakssh:

I had a coupon that gave me 20% off accessories and they said the exhaust is considered a accessory because it was in the pamplet they handed out to me. I think I got a good deal but since I had to prepay for it I dunno, oh well. Gotta wait I guess.

I want to get a sports exhaust for our 4 door and contacted Mazdastuff to quote on shipping. They said they had the sedan version in stock for $195us but wanted $220us to air freight it to Australia. They said that they dont do general sea postage.Thats like over $800 aus so does any one know where to find these units online outside of the US. Mazda Japan would be a great site if they would let you view it in engrish.

Here's a link to a previous thread:

There's a link in there with pictures of the Pro5 Sport Exhaust. It has "Mazdaspeed" etched on the tip. I ordered mine after I saw this, but it is on national back-order with no definite ETA. Sucks eggs

Just got off the phone with Mazdastuff.com - looks like they recieved a shipment of 7 units. They shipped out 6 of them (including mine). I asked the part guy (Gary) if it had "Mazdaspeed" etched on the tip - he says that it has "Racing Beat" on it. Not sure if he's confusing it with the MP3 exhaust. I hope that they didn't mix up the order...

If they're making new ones for the Pro5 that has Racing Beat on it instead of Mazdaspeed - that would be cool... I just hope they don't send me the sedan version...

You just want to make sure they are not sending you the MP3 exhaust because I read somewhere the tip is a bit longer and won't fit P6 properly.

I dunno still waiting for mine from the dealer ship
