Bad news my trany is game over
I have a pro 2003 LX.
Since 2 days my shifter was making strange noise(Kui Kui) and I had the feeling that shifting was hard. In my idea it was a minor trouble that could be solve by spraying white grease on the shifter. However my dealer told me my trany was finish. Apparently I have 2 bad synchro.
I am shocked, am I the only one with this problem, is it a weakness of this car? THis is my tird manual car, I never broke a trany before and my previous car where old Vw( 2 golf). I admit, I sometime drive hard but not harder than my previous car and not all the time, so could it be my fault? By the way I have only 15 500 milles, I was told by my dealer that everything will be cover.

good that your dealer is replacing it for you. My dealer told me when my engine blew that because I had uneven treadwear on my tires they weren't going to warranty my motor. sounds like your dealer will fix it for you.

Yes they will fix it, they dont have the part yet and it will take about 2 weeks to get them. My car is at my house so they dont buy time to cause me trouble I am quite sure. They told me to come back the 27th at 8 am and they keep the car only a day.
Your engine blew and it was not covered... how much did it cost you? Did they have a better proof than your tire because it sound a pretty weak proof IMO?
