Angry Broken Tranny

I just bought my MP5 at Moss Robertson Motor Company. I hav my MP5 towed in by roadside assistance over three weks ago and they are telling me thatthey could not get me the parts for the transmission that is ridiculous because the Dealership that I usedto be employed by told me that they would have the parts to that dealership. Anyway The dealership tha it is sitting at is haing the part come from Japan but that is going to be another week or so to get the parts and a week to put them in I think that is also another load of s*%@ but what shol I do? Any tips questions or advise le me know. thanx,The "deaf kid"

What did you guys do to break the transmission? I'm not being accusatory, I just want to know...seeing as I own a Pro5. Oh, and what part of the tranmission failed?

my 4th gear shifting fork broke and it looked the car into reverse and 4th at the same time( i was in second gear when it happened) so it shattered the reverse gear, bent the second gear shifting fork, it took chunks out of the other gears so i got a completely rebuilt tranny, 2500bucks worth, thank god for extended warranty, it happened at 53000 miles

I was downshifting to third because I was going up a hill at about 45mph and when I went to third there was a grinding noise even though I had the cluth engaged and then no third gear and no second gear or first. They are telling me that when forth broke coming out of the gear it took third and second with it when second went it took first. Also when forth went the fork broke as well take out reverse and welding the remains of fifth with it. This aslo damaged the case. I will be getting a J-spec tranny under warrenty because no us spec parts are availible so they say.
this happed on a 2002.5 Mp5 with 6,349 miles on it.

extended warranty? You've a 2002 P-5 and doesn't the basic warranty already cover the tranny problem? Or is this a problem that NOT covered by basic warranty at all? I always think that the extended one is just basic + 3 more years...

but your extended warranty doesn't do anything w/ it right?
you wouldn't have to pay even if you haven't bought the extended.

my car is a 2002 i bought in sept of 2001, it had the 3yr/50000 mile bumber to bumper, i bought the extended bumber to bumber 5yr/75000 mile warranty, the only difference is that in the extended warranty, its like a insurrance program for mazda, which means before they can fix something, the adjuster has to come down and approve the problem instead of mazda just fixing it. and before theyapprove it, you won't get a rental.!! unless you yell at them like i did

I had a similar problem with my Pro ES. it would just pop out of 3rd gear under normal acceleration and it eventually just got stuck in 3rd gear. my car had only 6700 miles on it. it's at the dealer right now and i'm in a mitsubishi lancer rental. also my brothers car (exactly the same thing i have only a different color) started to pop out of third gear also, only his car has only 1200 miles on it. has this happened to anyone else??? is there some kind of transmission defect??? maybe we just got a bad batch of cars from Japan. thanks ahead of time for any comments or information
