I think your most economical route is to sell the car with the AT and buy a car with a MT.

I know that this was talked about before so there should be another thread with a bit more info... but in the short the consensus has always been "not worth it".

Yeah, it has been talked about. Since your car in new, you would lose less money by trading it in.

But if you were going to change it, it would be roughly around $6,000. There is a lot to be done, plus it will be hard to find a used tranny for the 2.0L. I got my quote from the dealership.

Either way, you're going to lose money. One way you'd loose a helluva lot and the other, just a whole lot. I'd wait a couple years then look into it. Paitence is a virtue
