Can Engine be sprayed at car wash?

hoodliner
The hoodliner is the fuzzy stuff or rubbery substance found under the hood of some cars. To answer your question, Foxymazda, it is actually put there to put out fires by detaching from the hood and falling onto the engine to smother it (I've had experience, as I'm a firefighter). I don't know why they didn't put it on our models. Maybe they want our cars to burn up? Or they're less likely to catch on fire?

Which product to use?
I have bought engine degreaser from Mazda dealer, but i had to return because it won't spray, instead it oozes out from button on the top. so i got exchanged to other one, and yesterday i had free time to clean up my engine...guess what...same thing happened, i don't know why...
where can i get good engine degreaser and which products?
where I live only have autozone and pepboys.
damn..sick of going to dealer...

Bijou,
Sounds stupid, but did you turn the nozzle to "ON" before spraying? Also, there may be some kind of "safety" cap or something that needs to be broken or removed. Try that.

Hey Maxx...I know it sounds stupid, but it doesn't have any safety cap and it looks exactly same can as spray can for hairs.
there's no nozzle either.
It's just simple spray can with degreaser stuff in it.
Just tell me good degreaser with tools where I can get it.
Thanks

Ya, "Simple Green" can be found at like Home Depot, Revy, Crappy Tire, etc. It says it stains aluminum (i.e. valve cover) but I've never had that problem. Spray liberally, let it sit for 5-10, the pressure wash like a ****!
