cat-back exhaust

hey-
I am in the market for a cat-back exhaust for my 03 P5. Anyone know of any that arent like $400? The ones on protege5online are way too expensive.....i am just looking for a little more flow than my current one, and a better note.

if you want inexpensive.....find a good muffler shop that can mandrel bend tubing...and buy a free flowing muffler....then have them make you a system.

hey how much is the average for a good job from a shop to mandrel bend some tubing, generally applying to an mp5 but I am just looking for an average price.

Also for the person who started this thread I would look on ebay. The mazdaspeed exhaust on ebay is 200 plus shipping and every once in a while there are a couple racing beat exhausts on there, hell I got my ractive catback system for my mp5 for 107plus shipping off ebay. Just gotta be patient and look alot.

all of the ractive ones are just tips (on ebay) and they are like $80. The racing beat, and the others are starting at like $300+.
If you could provide me with some linkage to some of these auctions, i would greatly appreciate it, seeing as i am having no luck.

well the racing beat ones were selling for between 220and260 last time I saw them on ebay and that seller was offering free shipping, things change.

I know alot fot he ractive products on ebay are just tips, I have only seen 1 for the full ractive system and thats the one I bought, only got 1 other bid before I bought it.

the mazdaspeed one should always be 200 on ebay plus shipping. But I looked just now and it seems it is between auctions, none on there right now but there are usually 5 or 6 on at a time so Im sure there will be more.

cheaper cat back

if i'm not mistaken you can get a bosal cat back for under 400 from seffects.com for the p5. it might be a little over 4 with shipping and installation.

but if you want to save your pennies do the muffler custom pipe thing

i got my catback from srmotorsports.com, not to expensive (400$) and its decent. unfortunatly i want something louder so i purchased HKS axel back.. i'll be keeping the 2.25 cat back pipe from the srmotorsports exhaust though.
