Hey I understand your concern with the catless system. If you are not getting headers but just leaving it as is. You will still have your precat and your car should pass emmissions. It just will not be ULEV anymore but still LEV. Only if you have the MSP the corksport exhaust eliminates both cats. Like with mine I still have the precat.

Don't be afraid of magnaflow products. I have had the magnaflow catback system on my 03 ES for about 7000 miles now and its held up great. While 7000 miles may not seem like a lot I have rallycrossed the car several times and the whole thing still polishes up like new. It also has a very nice deep tone, but that may come more from the resonator rather than the can.

I probably will just end up with the magnaflow system. It's the only system I've seen with actual dyno charts (besides the corksport) to support it. They have shown 8.1hp and 10.2lb-ft of torque gains from the cat back alone. Also, when I end up going FI, if I want to open up the exhaust a little more, I wouldn't have put a huge amount of money into the current exhaust, it'll be easier to part with. I've heard the magnaflows sound great too, and since I can pick one up for about $350 shipped, I'm definitely swinging that direction.

As for a catless setup, I'm planning to go with the OBX header which will eliminate the pre-cat, so I'd be 100% catless if I went with the corksport system. I would definitely consider the corksport system if they offered it with a high flow cat installed. That'd be awesome.

Thanks for all the help everyone. I learned a lot between this thread and going to a few exhaust shops over the past week.

so the corksport system replaces the mid-pipe back?? I didn't know that.

Wagner should be done with my catless midpipe soon so I'll be looking for that!

I also talked to the sales department and if we get like 7 or more people, we may be able to get the price knocked down to like $330...if anyone else is interested.

Yea, I got a good shop to do my 2.25" catback to my Mazdaspeed Axleback. Now my car sounds like a scooby!!! Love it!

I have a cat-back exhaust system from borla and i love it. It is a deep sounding exhaust note and the muffler is probably the best out there. I just wish the exhaust tip wouldn't hang low i would like it better if it were up about 2" Other than that i am completely satisfied w/it
