CEL after 5 days of Injen CAI (1.6L) ..?

been driving my car all day and just on my way back home after stopping at Dairy Queen for about ten minutes. when I started it up I got my check engine light. so when I got home (20 minutes later) it was still on, so I cleaned the Mass airflow sensor and still a light. Then I reset the computer and it was all fine.

Any suggestions on this ?

could it b the Injen and the MAF disagreeing ?

or could it b another problem?

I am lead to believe that if it was something else that even if I reset the computer it should come right back. is that a coorect assumption ?

anyways if someone has ansers that would b good.

BTW this is my first CEL since I put on the Injen.

I got a cel 2 days after I bought my Pro5, had to take it to the dealer. Turned out to be, I filled the tank up with out turning off the car and i must have not turned the cap far enough. This will cause a cel.

first, try resetting the computer. i had a cel with my intake, reset the computer, and it was gone. just disconnect the negative battery terminal, step on the brake to clear the computer, let it sit for about a minute, and hook it back up. start your car, and let it idle for about 5 minutes. if the cel is still on, then it may be the MAF sensor, which should be under warranty still.

if for some reason the cel is still on, pop the stock intake back on, take it to the dealership and have them replace the MAF under warranty, just don't say you had an intake on it and you think thats why it did it.
