cheap ebay intake(pics)

just incase anyone was wondering, this is what you will get on ebay for a intake. i paid 42 bucks for it. the bracket will mount on the car with one bend you can do with your hands. you only get the choice of blue hose and fittings though, and the filter is not a K&N but it is a open top filter

I just receved the same set of intake (also from Ebay).
It comes with 2 tubes, one with an outlet sticking on the side. The other one have a hold on the side too. What is that hole for?

Reading my E-Mail I just found out I got one on E-Bay too.
Bid on it awhile back, up to $32. Got it for $31.52.
When I put the bid in I really didn't think I'd get it.
Oh Well, cant beat the price..............

check the intake and see if it is rubbing against the master cylinder, the purpose of the brackets is to mount the intake to it won't EVER rub against it. screw one one end of the bracket ot the MFS and the other to the engine, you will have to bend the bracket to fit. pretty easy though

Hey, you know if you bought two of them, you could probably use one of the additional pieces to put the filter down into the fender well like the Injen intake and you still will have paid less than $100 for it.....

ERRR ....I just checked ebay for some more and now the minimum bid is 39.95 plus 15.00 for handling.

I have just finished installing my cheap-cheap Ebay CAI this evening.
I disconnect the battery during the installation, then started the engine and let it idle for 15 minutes. Is that the correct steps to let the MAF senser reset itself?

And when I turn the key to start the engine, I noticed a much stronger vibration than before when I had the stock intake. Also when I am driving, the vibration transfer through the gas padel and brake padel from the engine are much stronger. Are these normal?

From another thread here, someone are talking about removing the screen on both side of the MAF senser. Should I do that? Will it improve anything?

i personally recommend keeping the intake screen in plae on the maf.. i made a custom intake for my probe.. 4cyl model.. and the filter i had on there decided to break apart.. meaning the metal part on the front of it came off because of underhood heat.. summer time.. luckily i didnt suck anything big up.. but i did notice small rocks that didnt go thru the screen...
