Cheap Muffler.
First of all, I should let you all know, I am the person formerly known as chocoboae, but sum stupid person or this stupid web site screwed up my account!!! I couldn't post new messages as chocoboae, and so I had to re-register. How annoying!
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good brand muffler that I can get for my car. It's a 2002 Protege ES, I want something that is nice and throaty, not loud and farty. Something for less than $175can. And something that's easy to install. Thanks in advanced for any suggestions.

The sport exhaust from your dealer is a direct bolt-on axle back; you just need basic hand tools. But it's probably about double what you want to pay. If you want opinions on it, do a search for mazdaspeed exhaust or mazda sport exhaust.
Catbacks are out of your price range.
Universal exhausts require cutting and welding. Sounds like your only option is to get a cheap eBay universal muffler and pay a local shop to install it for $40-$60can.

I suggest just going to your local muffler shop and having them install a flowmaster or magnaflow. I know that here I could have it done for around $100 USA (don't know what that converts to in cdn) and it'll sound great.
