cold air intake question
ok guys i have a question...
does anybody here have a custom CAI and if so do you believe that putting all the dyno tested mumbo jumbo aside that there really is a difference between going custom and going injen? and if so could i see some pics of the custom jobs just to see what people got
did most people stick with the k&n pod, or what was there end choice as far as the actual filter...
thanks in advance for your opinions

from what I have seen with all the MEMBER dyno testing is that no matter what intake you get...you are only going to get a couple of HP regardless of the brand or whether its a CAI or short ram.....
but one thing that is for sure is that your throttle response DOES increase....its much more responisve.
AS FOR going either injen or custom? well it boils down to what you want....how does the custom look? how does the injen look to you? which do you like best? and which are you willing to drop your green on to get the look YOU want? those are the questions you have to ask yourself...
I will assume you have seen an Injen installed...but just in case you havn't....here is mine....its the polished system with red connectors.

If you are going custom, try just clamping a cone filter directly on to the throttle body. I've been wondering lately what that might do to performance...but I'd never do it to my car.
