Computer upgrades??

!st off this is my 1st post so I would like to say sup to every1
Well my question is, I was thinking of adding a jet performance or super chip upgrade, but I'am planing on adding a 50 shot of NOS in the near future. So i don't want my timing advanced. Some1 was telling me about a flip chip? Have any of you heard of any thing like that. I know the Ballistic Protege has the jet chip, and i
have the same car 2000 ES.
Aight Later.

I haven't heard of the flip chip. All the jet module does is increase the voltage output by the TPS sensor to fool the ECU into thinking the throttle body plate is open further than it is. Why pay for something you can easily accomplish with your right foot?

Tim,

You must have read through the thread titled:

Dyno: cams, exhaust

I found it very informative, being under the hood with a few techs. There was some mention in there about piggy back systems and even a company DASTEK. The unit provides controls for a tuner to adjust fuel mapping not nesc. timing. If you plan on screwing with your fuel system and you have access to a good tuner and some money...maybe look in that direction
