Crankshaft Scraper

Crankshaft Scraper
Has anyone researched or built a crankshaft scraper for the Gen 3 protege family. These things are supposedly cheap like borscht to make (once the design specs are done and you find someone to machine it) and one of my profs recommended it as a light, inexpensive way of increasing the efficiency of your car. That and keeping your tires filled. He said there is a lot of energy wasted keeping the oil spinning on the crank where it isn't needed and I certainly believe him.
Or do the proteges already have these things and am I just looking like a dum bass fisherman. Eh, it never hurts to ask.

It is just a piece of material (Al, Steel, Plastic) that is connected to your oilpan. It is also called a windage tray. It has very precise dimensions which match your crankshaft profile (obviously not the flingers) and more or less scrape the oil off the crankshaft so as to not waste hp flinging it around needlessly. I have heard there is up to 5hp lost from this (probably in V8's or something) but still they are supposed to be cheap.
