Question crazy engine idle?

hey guys: I have a 2000 dx with 1.6 engine. Friday night the battery went dead, so I got a new one at Auto Zone yesterday. Right after that is when the problem started..... When driving without stop, it runs perfect. The problem is when say slowing to stop & then stop at light or sign it acts like it dying for about 2-5 seconds. And then it idles correctly after that. Any ideas on what to check out???

Thanks,

Curleydx

possibly the base idle is set too low...

if you jump TEN and GND in the daigs box and start the car what does it idle at ? (note engine should be warm)

wind the idle up to about 700 rpm and pull the jumber back out..

that should sort it.

NOTE: Please note i know the above works on my mazda based car, and also on MX5's but dont know 100% about yours.. so you may want to check the above

crazy idle

Toady: Are these terminals in the DIAG box by the fender, or inside the car? Does this reset the idle if you jump these terminals?
