Question custom air intake

My question is that the PVS rubber clamps that you can buy at the home depot good enough for the intake?
By that what i mean is that will they be able to withstand the heat?

Since the MP5 engine bay does not get hot as most, then I would say yes. I have purchased similiar items to be used in other vehicles and have had no problems. Just make sure you get something that is thick, and/or double coated. Another thing you can do to increase the resistance to pure heat is to go to WalMart and purchase an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of black felt with adhesive already on the back of it. Cut out the shape you need with the felt and wrap it around the rubber. This will give similiar effect pvc rubber piping that are blue/red or have material-like substances on them from race shops. Been there, done that.
