Custom Intake

Has anyone ever tried anything like this? Is it a custom job? It looks interesting, and inexpensive...question is, does it work.

If this is your car, I borrowed a picture of it...hope you don't mind.

Doesn't anyone know that you cannot post pictures from your hard drive?

If you can't post it on the web, email it to me and I will post it up for you.

Sounds simple enough, but I need some pictures to see how well it looks and stuff.

I know a few people that have done this to various cars (I know silver_p5_owner did it to his car) and it does help a little. Problem is that the factory airbox on our cars is quite restrictive (even with a K&N). This style of homemade intake still uses the stock airbox which means you've still got some big restrictions on air flow.
