nothing NA about it.....

p.s. Thread is pretty much dead now. $640 for the first custom Manifold for the 2.0L proteges. Impressive sounding gains if they aren't peaky numbers.

I don't see how its dead. If you can get one made get wagner or some one ells to help you said your self a price of about 400.00 You could and would out sell him. But I know you already have your mind made up.

I was hoping for 20-25whp on my manifold and the further I got into it the more stuff that had to be bought.... custom piping, larger MAF, piggyback controller for the MAF, second throttlebody, etc.

I'll be purchasing one of these manifolds and doing some testing on it when I come up on some free cash so Ill let you guys know what I think then.

That looks like a pretty nice peice! It certainly shows some pretty good gains! Cant wait to see some people try that on their cars!

Its just too bad you dont want to continue yours becasue if you could get similar gains but charge a lot less it could probably do pretty well! But I'll keep a close watch for when you get yours and do some tests!

thats the point....I can't make a piece cheaper than that and produce those gains. If I do get close it'll still cost a lot more.

My idea was a dual throttle body manifold removing the VICS. Basically having an extra TB across from the stock one on the passenger side of the bay. Running a pipe from that TB around the front and back over to the first TB pipe...then merge the two pipes, throw on the maf and then a filter....instant dual TB manifold. The problem lies in the engines ability to only suck in so much air...even though more air is present it wont be able to suck in but so much....

too much work/cost for too little gain.

p.s. this manifold looks like a fs-de manifold from another engine....maybe a 626 maybe something international. It's cast, it's aluminum and making something like this takes a LOT of cost and skill....like something a manufacturer would do. The only thing throwing me off is that the EGR connections are optional....thats odd.

Yeah, I was reading about it at msprotege and some of them seemed skeptical for whatever reason but they always seem to doubt people(wink, wink). Hopefuly somebody will buy it and test it for other consumers, if you dont do it first!

no. what I mean is that the manifold they are selling looks identical to a decade old 626/probe manifold but the wierd thing is that manufacturers don't make EGR optional....IF that is a factory made manifold they should all be identical.
