a different engine noise
i have done a search but couldn't find a problem quite like mine. i have only heard the noise twice. when i started my car this morning i heard a noise that sounds like a cricket constantly chirping in my engine. the first time i heard it i thought it was crickets and dismissed it. but it was here again this morning. what is that? is my engine going to explode? i have a 5 speed P5 2002. the noise only seems to happen at idle. but i can't be sure.

chirp
Sounds like a belt to me. If you leave your car outside, it could collect a little moisture and chirp when you first start it. I could be wrong though, since I haven't actually heard it myself.
You will know it if your engine is going to blow up. It will make a lot worse noise than a chirp.
It shouldn't be that big of a deal, unless it gets worse, then you will need to seek prof. help.

yep, sounds like a loose belt-the belt is only supposed to give about an inch or so perpendicular to the belt. You should take it to a shop and tell them to get a belt tensioner to adjust the belt. Madza should do it for free.
