Question Does an intake effect your warranty

Just got my P5 2 weeks ago. Really like it. I was reading about a K&N intake and was wondering about how it would effect my warranty. And I don't really know to much about cars so I was wondering what other modifications I should do. Thanx.

That same warning applies to my post as well. But if we are talkin about the K&N drop in i think it is advertised as not affecting your warranty. Besides that it is by far the simplest thing to remove and and replace with its stock counterpart if you are at all worried about it if a problem arises.

shouldn't

Disclaimer: I also don't know nothing about nothing.

However, my dealer said that adding an air intake would not void the warrantee unless it directly causes something to break.

For example, I would expect that if your door hinges go bad, they'd still replace them under warantee, but if your engine gets broken because of inadequate filtration, you're out of luck.
