Drain -O

Question - where is the drain/fill plugs on the P5, 5 speed transaxle. Looked in the owners manual and found zippo.

Going to synthetic lube in the trans this weekend.

If you are laying directly under the car, with your feet coming out under the front bumper, it is on the left side. Follow the driveaxle from the left front wheel (driver's side) to the gear box. On the bottom (look through the subframe brase running lengthwise of your car, front to back. There is a hole in the brase and through that is the bolt) of the gearbox is the drain plug. It is a large bolt, that threads straight into the bottom of the box. The fill-hole is a few inches higher on the side of the box. The bolt looks identical and is mounted at an angle towards the ground.
