Hey Bassboomer, I think you have the right idea just kinda going on a longer path!
Deffinatly remove the bumpers when you paint, I hate it when people put all this time and money in there cars but half *** it. Make sure you rap all the exhuast up too! We had a saying here about those peaple and there cars (the far a way cars). They only look good far a way. I'll leave you an a high note, all though I am not one that likes big body kits, yours not to shabby! Let me know when its done !
PS
I guess I am gona be a ricer for a while, No NOS until the warrinty is out.
Im at 20K and have 50 to go.

I molded the kit in. its pretty easy to still paint it. basically tape off the sections that you dont want to put paint on at the time of spraying. its not that hard. when we primered it all we had to do was throw some plastic bags over the exhaust tips, tape off the door trims and windows and cover the rims with bags and shoot away. its alot easier than you think. the hardest part is parting the paint. too thick and it spats out. too thin and its really runny. and when you mess up its called a wet sand..... u sand the pure **** outta it til its fixed heh. we had to do it on my interior piece cause the gun jammed up. but it was fixed and is good as new. I've seen loads of proteges with interior dress up kits and dash kits. but never one with a completely new interior.
granted i see where yall are comin from and saying. but it comes down to money and my lack there of regardless of how much i have to save. if oil changes cost 2800 a piece would u shell out the money to pay someone to do it? no because u know how to do it and its easy to u while alot of other people says its too hard. Body work to me is farely easy and painting can always be fixed. I can buy 4 gallons of paint to get to half the cost they want to charge me. thats spraying my car over 50 times completely around. i know i can get that car lookin spiffy way before i equal the cost these shops want to charge me.
and if you guys want ill see what i can do tonight and try to get a video with sound of my exhaust.

Hey, bomber... Good for you doing all of your work yourself! I'm also a college student and definately know how the money feels. College is a full time job as it is and to get a paying job on top of it is really hard... I'm finding that out now as I am working at the airport refuling airliners. I've been afraid to do anything serious to my car by myself... I prefer that someone else take the risk and if it gets screwed up, they have to pay for it! I've done simple things like wiring and stuff like that 'cause I know how to do that, but nothing major. I am gonna start doing stuff on my own like put on my new rotors and the SRI should be simple... Anyway, great job man, its gonna look incredible and you keep it up. BTW, did you use a kit for your dulies? If so, what was it? If not, did you keep the plans for it?
