Lightbulb Dual Exhaust for P5

Anybody ever try putting/adding dual exhaust for their p5?

Like cutting another strip on the left side.
I loved them on how they made my friends accord looked
So im wondering if i should do it to my p5.

people KNOW we have 4 bangers.....duals look goofy on 4 bangers....for starters they are useless....

NOW, if you win the lottery....or are just rich...and you go and stuff a V-6, V-8, or rotory in your P-5 and add rear wheel drive or AWD....dual it out....you will be able to back up the look.

not to mention...there is only ONE cut out on our back bumpers....

Agreed, duals looks a bit silly on a 4 cyl engine, at least I know I get a kick out of seeing some dude in a Civic with two huge pipes on the back. Save you money and get a sweet single pipe exhaust instead.

ahhh, the age old question...duals on a protege5.

well, if you look at the wings west protege and read it's sponsors contributions, you'll see that magnaflow contributed a dual exhaust for it.

i asked mitch about it, but he didn't have any info.

Why are so many people interested in "performance looks" that hurt performance?

The only thing a dual exhaust would do is add more weight to the car. Since the only interest is looks, why not just mount an exhaust tip and maybe muffler?

Yeah... that's it... get a big aluminum can, paint with some chrome spraypaint, attach some aftermarket exhaust tip and mount it to the back of your car.

Might I suggest you get a pair of those "Afterburner" lighted exhaust tips that they sell at AutoZone... might as well make it look like your car has jet power too...

do what you like with your car, but most car enthusiasts know the P5 has a 2.0; you might impress the 14 year old who mows your neighbour's lawn to buy Daredevil comics, but you ain't foolin' real drivers!

What the hell does it do with them? It only has one bank of cylinders. IMO it is retarded to put dual exhausts if you don't at least have the two banks of cylinders to feed it from. Its all going to be one pipe somewhere unless you get some kind of weird *** two-cylinder header job.

But some people just like the look of dual tips, even though it means nothing.

If he wants dual tips let him go ahead and have it, he likes the look better,

its more of a personal preference i think of it

But if he thinks its better performance wise, for the P5, then he's wrong!!

and only real entusiasts know that our cars are 4 bangers, and you know that not many ppl are real car enthusiasts, allot of ppl just think they are, and will go along saying yeah thats wicked dual exhaust, but they really aren't.

I like the look of a dual tip over a single tip, but i know the difference performance wise, and why dual tips would be no use, but I'd still take a dual tip over a single tip, cuz its my preference

also if you can get the exhaust to make a nice bassy noise, then you'll probably impress allot of ppl, hehe

Real drivers drive manual cars not automatics......someone has dual exhaust on their protege5. I remember seeing the pics for it. Try a search and look in the photo section....
