Question engine idle noise

Hi,

My first post after reading this board for around a week

My question is that I find the engine idle noise to be a bit rough, a little bit like a diesel engine. It sounds normal when driving, just want to make sure this is normal. I can't hear the rough noise when the windows are up. Any suggestions ?

If it happens when the engine is cold, then it's normal.
If it still sounds shitty when it's warmed up, go back to your dealership.

its normal...read up more in the engine tech forum...where this belongs....

oh btw.....Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

could it be the spark plugs that need changing?
did you do a 15,000 or 30,000 mile service recently?

I just put 200 miles on it,
I brought it back to dealer, same as you guys had discussed before, this is a common thing to 2.0 engines. The service guy spent 10 minutes explaining where the clicking is from.
