Lightbulb Fine Tunning Air Fuel????

IF YOU LOOK ON TOP OF THE THROTLE BODY ON YOUR MP5 YOU MIGHT NOTICE A SMALL BLACK BOX WITH A **** 0N IT HAS A SMALL TUBE GOING FROM THE BACK OF IT INTO THE MANIFOLD AND IT HAS ANOTHER TUBE LEADING TO A FUEL PRESURE REG. THATS ON THE FUEL RAIL I NOTICED THAT YOU CAN TURN THAT **** AND ADJUST THE FUEL PRESSURE OR SOME THING THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE FUEL! I KNOW THAT OUR CARS STOCK RUN RICH SO IF YOU JSUT TURN IT TOO MUCH IT MIGHT CAUSE A PROBLEM BUT I DONT KNOW HOW COULD WE USE THIS TO ARE ADVANTAGES? LET ME HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS

most of the boost senors and solenoids that mazda uses in all their cars are Mitsu made products I know that all the solenoids in my friends FD RX-7 are all mitsu made.

Is it the white thing on the left-hand side of this picture?

Regardless of what you were turning, you cannot adjust the a/f ratio on a stock Protege, period. It's controlled by the ECU and there is no manual adjustment. You CAN change the mixture at WOT by using an aftermarket rising-rate fuel-pressure regulator. However, the mixture at idle and part throttle cannot be changed unless you install an aftermarket computer; the stock ECU will "correct" any changes it detects.

Also, I would HIGHLY recommend buying a factory service manual before you jack with ANYTHING else under your hood. I don't mean to lecture you, but messing with some components of the EFI and ignition systems can screw up your emissions system and possibly cause drivability problems or engine damage. Please take the time to learn what you're doing before you try to do it.
