Excuse my lack of knowlegde in that matter
but what excatly does the motor mounts do ?
and what gains do you gain when you replace them?

The downside of upgrading the mounts is increased engine vibration inside the car.

What exactly is the problem? The No. 2 mount is held in place by 1 bolt and 2 nuts that are all very easy to reach and remove.
Yeah..It's Easy to get to..But the problem is that nut won't come off..I used a torque wrench..to no avail...i heard people say that some wd40 can help...

The stock Protege mounts are very springy and somewhat weak; they allow the engine to move A LOT when you shift and/or change throttle position, making the engine shudder, and they are also a contributing factor to the wheelhop that our cars suffer during hard acceleration out of tight corners. They also tend to break, esp. the No. 1 (rear) mount and the No. 2 (front) mount, which are the ones that the Kartboy and AWR kits replace.
