gas milage
My 2002 ES (manual) is still al stock. UI am only getting about 255 mi to a tank of gas. This is aveage local and highway driving. My old '91 dx (manual also) got about 500 miles. Does this sound normal? thanks.

What kind of MPG are you getting? It depends alot on your driving habits and driving conditions.
My P5 with standard gets about 28 MPG in mixed driving and I drive hard at times. Best i've had so far is 34 MPG on the highway.

I get around 28-31mpg. But when I go on highway trips I get lower. I drive to another city about 50 miles away at 70-75mph. I figure its because after I get there its all city driving. Its actually a city. I don't know if I would call where I live a city.

How many miles are on the car? My MPG were pretty shitty for the first few thousand. At this point I changed to synthetic oil, but I think it's more of a break-in issue. If your cars new, your mileage will improve.
edit....oops, I forgot I get close to 400mi

I usually get about 320-330 total miles before the low fuel light comes on. Average mileage around town with very little freeway is 27-28 mpg. Best was 36 mpg, all freeway thru the flatlands of Ohio, after the car had about 2000 miles on it. As I recall the mileage during the first few hundred "break-in" miles was pretty crappy.

The best mileage i got was 29 mpg and that was when i was breaking my car in. Now that's it's broken in i get like 25 or so with a combo of highway and city and quite a bit of zippy driving :P I forgot what that turns out to be in terms of total miles per tank.

In my P5 over the past 15,500 miles (20.5k on car now) I have gotten an average of 27.3 MPG. My highest (highway driving) was 32.7MPG and the lowest (city) was 17.6MPG but those are at the extremes of what I usually see... mixed city/hwy usually ranges between 25MPG and 30MPG.
I only started recording the numbers at ~5,000 miles so I have no idea how it did before that.
My old chevy (3.1L-V6 4spd auto) still gets 31MPG on the highway (150k miles on that engine) but really sucks in the city (low 20s).
