also check out the old "homemade cai" thread, i did some custom ducting from my front bumper to the intake using the non existant fog light openings...some screen, tool and fresh air ducting will do wonders for your intake temps....

How much you want for that muffler??...assuming it still has some pipe to be able to weld it on

dunno...make an offer and pay shipping...it could easily be welded on and still has the last hanger on it...

the silver you see behind the trumpet is the inside of my ducting..it pops out into the engine bay right by the coolant reservoir, blowing right onto my SRI filter, I also have a newly made heat shield (not the one from the other thread, this one is aluminum) that block the rad fan heat from the filter as wel..To further the gains I also wrapped the SRi tubing in adhesive aluminum faced insulation to help reflect the heat and keep the cool air cool.

"fresh air ducting" from Car Quest, Im going to replace it with some good neoprene ducting from racers wholesale after this winter

that'll work too, but I couldn't find it in 2.5" diameter..all of it was 4"+..I really need to cut some internal structure to make it flow better...I may end up adding a NACA duct to my fender then use the fog aperatures as brake ducts

i just took a hacksaw blade to the foglight opening, trying to take out the housing for the bulb. is there an easier way to do this??? im going to keep the front 1/3 of the housing just for the clips to hold on. im trying to keep my car stock looking, so i guess i have to drill out some holes to keep the stock grill too.

do you have a link to where you got your duct at?

cut away all of the crap in the opening except for the mounting clips(I used a key hle saw)....for the part that clips in, get some pliers and start breaking out all the webbing on the inside, then grind it all smooth and cut your hole for your ducting, i used a modified VW intake trumpet for my inlet piece, attach it...I then covered mine with screening to keep crap out..route your ducting, reattach and enjoy

Car Quest is like Napa, Kragen, Autozone or whatever....you can spend more money and get tge real ducting from a race shop, same stuff they use for brake ducts...

previous owner did my car like that, but he added a pipe/tip back onto it. - stock w/ no muffler. sounds pretty good.
