Harder rev up after intake install??
I recently got my Ractive SRI converted into a CAI setup by installationn of additional piping. The setup is similar to the Injen CAI. But after the install, I've noticed that it is much more difficult to rev the engine into the powerband. The gas pedal seems much firmer and the revs build more slowly, unless I floor it. I suspect the problem to be the length of the additional intake piping which therefore reduces the intake velocity. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I have no other mods done to the car (exhaust, headers, etc.).
Do any Injen CAI owners have the same problem? Does anyone know the cause of this or the remedy? Many thanks in advance.

Is the purge solenoid connected properly? I cracked mine when installing my intake and the car runs without it, but it felt jsut like you're describing. I thought "Damn, the intake made it worse!!!"
But once I reconnected the purge solenoid it revs just as happily as ever. That's something to check just in case.

changing the power range
By installing a CAI system, you might have changed the range in where the engine breathes better. I noticed after installing my K&N Cone filter that the power below 3000 RPM was actually a bit less than stock, but the gain from 3000 RPM & up was worth it. All I had to do is change my driving style!
I wouldn't worry to much unless it takes you 5 seconds to hit redline from idle . Also, is there an increase in power?
