Head Gasket?
Cars getting on in years.
Im noticing that the coolent is a dark color where after I changed it, it was like a radioactive green. Im thinking it might be the coolent mixing with the oil. Its not well mixed either the botom of the resivoir is dark while the top still looks new.
Ill have a picture up later to confirm. From what I understand this is prob the head gasket.
The cars really loud so Im gonna be changing the acc belts and timing belt (80,000miles) in hopes it will quite it down. Is it really hard to change out the head gasket?

Just Dirty Fluid.
Oil mixing in will look like elmers glue. I know. I used to have an '81 Escort wagon...
When you change your water pump with the timing belt you will use fresh fluid.
None of this will 'quiet it down'. You may have an exhaust leak.

I flushed it 6 months ago. It had all sorts of crap comming out so I did it quite a bit.
I have niosy valves but recently the belts are acting up so Ive been spraying them down with belt dressing but thats getting old. MAybe I could just tighten them up.
I also have soot around the valve cover (at the crack).
Hard to see there but I remember it being clean at one point.

Change the belts.
Flush again.
A cracked exhaust manifold is what i would suspect for the increased noise. Check while running - carefully put your hand or a tissue over the suspected leak to check for it. You may be able to get it welded - OR GET THE HEADER - NOW IS THE TIME! PERFECT EXCUSE!
