how much do you pay for a synthetic oil change??
#16
I've changed the oil now twice in my car. I went to synthetic on the first change. I had to break down and take my car in to the dealer for the first change, because no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get the factory filter off.....
That pissed me off enough, however when I took my car into the dealer I told them I had my own oil and filter and they only charged me $6.95 or something for labour. I thought that was very reasonable.
I used Castrol syntec and a mazda filter. I may even be pushed to get all my changes done at the dealer and save myself the hassle for $7. They even let me come in and watch the guy do it, because of my concern. I hate letting other people touch my car, even if they are "Trained Professionals" RIGHT!!!

and I KNOW how you feel about OTHERS touching your baby....its like you just KNOW they will violate her. .... I got a special service when I got my cars.....they were giving it away.....FREE OIL CHANGES FOR LIFE....for those cars anyway.....but my closest dealer is 50 miles away....pain in the *** just for an oil change....so when I HAPPEN to be in the area....I buy a few filters and stock up....then just do it myself in my driveway.....saves me at least two hours driving time.....and no telling how long sitting there waiting on them to change the oil.....when all that time I could be doing things i NEED to be doing on MY TIME OFF!! lol
