How often do you change your oil?
#4
How often do you change the filter, with the oil change or with the oil change and in between? (ex. If you go 5,000 miles betweeen oil change, you change the filter at 3,000 miles and at 5,000 miles)

Every 8,000 km (5,000 mi). That's what Mazda states is required under the "severe service" schedule, so I'm sticking to it so that they have no excuse to not honour their warranty obligations. Out of warranty, I may look at a different interval.

Ive noticed increased gas milage on my truck with mobil 1 oil, but im using 0-W-30, so its pretty thin stuff.
Good synthetic can actaully "clean" your engine also. It will help remove and flush out deposits that were already present .

3000 miles or 3 months, no matter what. I use a name brand oil (anything but Castrol crap), a good oil filter (Fram, Penske, OEM).
I have had cars that reached 200,000 miles without having to do anything to the motor internals, including an RX-7.
