How to tell the diff b/w intake/exhaust cams?

I have a pair of cam shafts for my Protege5. I bought them used off an aquaintence in the Toronto Protege club. They are from cork sport. My question is: How can you tell the difference between the exhaust and intake cam shafts?

I was told that the cam shaft marked with green was the intake but the source was not 100% positive.

Note there are red and blue bands on one of the cam shafts...

Can anyone help me tell the difference?

Justin, I assume you got your stuff from CorkSports as well...

Did they not place part numbers on your boxes?

Are you sure that the red and blue striped with a bit of green paint is the intake cam? LOL it's funny that they don't just say intake and exhaust but rather we have to guess.

BTW I need these answers soon cause the install is tomorrow! AHH.

Both cams have "FSH9 IN" casted on billet

The only way to identify the MazdaSpeed exhaust cam is by looking at the pulley end of the cam where the dowel pin is. There is the dowel pin fitting onto the camshaft as well as a hole about 5 o'clock from the pin. The intake cam does not have this hole (duh).

The Man.

Thanks you very much for contradicting us! If you hadn't posted your reply I would have installed the cams in the reverse order! If I had breasts I'd let you touch them! Thanks very much for your reply!
