Now, tell me what being so critical over this intake subject is going to acomplish? Intake is something that usually has similar gains of HP between the diffrent brands out there...why the anguish over mabe a diffrence of 1-2HP? Besides, many of us have the Injen and can vouch for its great performance. What more proof do you want about the performance of an intake?

I could understand, if the Injen JUST came out yesterday...but its BEEN out for a while now and those of us that have had it for some time are testifying to its good quality and performance.

I never said YOU were ignorant...it was the statement...I am sure you are a very intelligent human being. Regardless, any adult should be able to take some critique of a made statement, with out getting all butt-hurt.

Its just a conflict of viewpoint...You seem to be the cup's half-empty type and I am more the cup's half-full role. (concerning this intake debate)

You are right to want the best for you car...we all do. This is wack...ITS NOT EVEN CONCERNING OUR CAR!!!! Enough is Enough.
Huh??? Not concerning our car??? I thought we were discussing an intake available for the Protege??? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't worry, Greddy, it's not keeping me up nights, but what's wrong with being critical of these products? Maybe if we are, some manufacturer will design a product that gains a few more horses (hell, maybe a lot more, we'll never know unless we demand they work our butts off for us). What's wrong with that? Like I said, the aftermarket isn't going to try too hard for us if we blindly accept everything coming down the pipe as the best thing since sliced bread.

Not to offend anyone here, but when talking such small gains, I'm not going to believe anyone's claims of performance unless they can back it up with fact. After years of experience, I've learned to barely trust my own butt-dyno, let alone anyone elses'. Anybody with the Injen intake going to the dyno anytime soon?

And I'm not sure where you got this impression, but nothing on my body--including my butt--has been hurt by this exchange. I thought we were having an intelligent conversation about differing opinions of a product and its development. Nothing "wack" about that, is there? Just because I'm refuting your claims doesn't mean you've hurt my feelings.

ExMiataMan:
I apologize for jumping the gun. Very well said...I agree, the "***** to wall" dyno just doesnt fly for accurate power increase reports....Hopefully, I will be able to dyno my car in a couple weeks...then we can all get a little bit of hard evidence about the Injen.

Im glad this isnt keeping you up at night
