Injen Intakes (colors?) (my first and last intake thread)
Hey All,
I have been going back and forth on whether or not to get the Injen or the AEM. I think I am leaning towards the INJEN at this point, live in California where there isn't a lot of flooding just some puddles, but from what I read, even puddles shouldn't cause me danger with waterlocking.
I have a laserblue P5 and am going for red accents under the hood, I already have the red ignition wires and am thinking about getting the red dress up kit, and would like to keep it going with the intake, does anyone here have pictures of a RED Injen intake or been able to buy one?
Where did you get your Injen intake and how much did you pay?
Anybody have any reasons that I shouldn't go with the Injen and just go with the AEM? (I have an auto, and the auto AEM puts the filter way up at the top of the engine, that's one of the reasons I decided to go for the Injen because I read that with the filter the AEM bogs down on warm days, and there are plenty of those here where I live)
Thanks in advance for replies.

I've seen options for Injen intakes to be in different colors, but I've not actually seen any other than the standard chrome w/ red lettering. SOMEONE has got to have one of the other colors.
...Wow, actually a legitimate questions on intakes that hasn't been answered before!

I saw the Injen intake on ebay for $220. That's the cheapest I've seen. Also, I bought mine for $260, but that's just because I'm too lazy to search online. I'm still mad about those Skunk2 coilovers selling on ebay for so cheap, I should've never abandoned the forums!! Search on google because it'll list Injen intakes for $220 if you look hard enough. Oh and I ordered my HKS exhaust so I'll be taking pictures and posting up sound files w/my Injen intake. Btw, my intake is chrome.

Yeah, I search first and post second if I didn't find it searching.
I have been looking around and a few places list the Red Injen for sale, but I have yet to see a picture of one in a car. Of those places that list the Red Injen, sometimes they say it's out of stock and sometimes they don't, but that doesn't mean they don't have it. Injen has pictures of their colors on their website, but without seeing it in the context of an engine it's tough to choose.
Thanks for the input guys.

I'd assume the red color is anodized, so it will actually appear more pink than anything. If you really want a true red, get the standard intake, and have it powdercoated "Classic Red" (color of my car) and it'll work with most aftermarket accessories. They all seem to be the same color of red as my car! Mazda picked a good shade of red!
