Install new ignition wires HELP

I would like to install new uridiums and 8mm wire but on my MP3 when you look at the setup now It is different than anything I have ever seen there are all these switches and things in line with my wires. What are they, and were is the distributer cap. Can I put better plugs and wires on her or do I have to have som special setup? Can I just take those stupid looking switches out and use just wires or do I have to have them in. Help because I have never seen anything like this setup on any engine and I have no Idea what the perpose of them are. Thanks

We have a Distributorless Ignition. We have Coil Packs, but i do know Mitch @ Protege5online.com has just got in Magnecor wires they only replace the two wires going into the coil packs though and i believe they are 8.5.

ok this makes a little sence, but how do coil packs work and what will the wires that mitch offers contribute to the well being of my engine. Thanks for the info I will have to do some more research on the ignitions system I am not a computer or electric guy but I do love to learn as much as i can about the car.

Yeah...I got mine already...they look waaay better than that skinny-*** stock plugwire. I swear Ive never seen such a skinny wire before...I didnt notice until I pulled it off the car...then I was like "damn thats wimpy"...

Throttle response is better than it ever was now.

The best way to find out what a 8.5MM upgrade will do is check out Magnecor's webpage. They talk about it pretty good. Honestly, Im going to upgrade the wires for the fact that they are red! But, i do feel that the magnecors are going to help you some. But I dont feel the wires nor the iridium plugs will gain a ton. But its a good upgrade for a modified car (it helps with any fuel upgrades you may have have done or might do, same with intake upgrades.....the plugs are just an extension of the Air fuel mixture)

Hey mitch how do they go on. Because of all of the extra plug looking things how do you put new wires on? I have never put new wires on a system with the coil pack setup? thanks for the help.

Wires are so short I don't think aftermarket will make any difference... unless you are getting yellow wires. Cuz ya know yellow=HP
