installed my RAI
...again. i bought one off ebay about 4 months ago and it kept giving me a CEL. turned out to be a vaccum problem. installed it again today. took everything off from the MAF and up, and jury rigged the RAI to be a CAI... i'll try to get pics later on.
any benefits from this? besides HP and TQ? as in gas mileage?

Well with no other mods, you are probably going to gain 2-4 hp, nothing you'd notice, although the revs will be smoother.
Also, technically, you may suffer a small loss of low-end torque although again, you may not even notice. I've had my SRI for about 8 months and I couldn't feel a loss of any kind, really.

Well, lets just say that you are a little bit faster. It's not all in your head. I know that before I installed my SRI there was kind of a little stutter-step in the revs between 3 & 4k, which the SRI eliminated. So, I guess you are faster, but not because of any increase in HP.
Glad to hear you got your CEL problem fixed.

I wish I still had my RAI
As far as fuel economy is concerned, I didn't notice any improvement with the RAI or CAI. There was a nice bump with the header though. Noticeable power increase as well. . . a lot more noticeable than the intake. That'd be a good next step.
