They should fit the european 1.8L FP engine just fine. It's a stock FS-ZE intake cam and a MazdaSpeed exhaust cam BTW.

Thats a good news

Is there any need to change anything else

And whats the difference with stock cam

Higher lift or duration?

I just wanna buy these things but in spring and only when they are worth the money

MazdaSpeed doesn't release the specs, but the speculation is about 6 degrees more duration on the intake cam.

Not according to Corksport, but again, it's only an educated guess. They don't have any actual specs from Mazda.

But doesnt Mazda Motorsports release any specs?
How can they sell it then when the customer doesnt know what he/she is buying

Even Mazda Motorsports doesn't know. Mazda Japan doesn't release the specs.

That is the biggest problem with these cams. Everyone is talking about mazdaspeed and corksport saying how much hp these 2 cams will give, but nobody has actually done it.
I want to do it, but I dont want to be the first, since nobody has actual specs. They say 10+hp, but cant show anyone that has actually done it. Prove that it will work, and most people will do it.

does anyone know if corksport has both the cams in stock?

i was really set on getting them, but they didn't have one of them in stock and it's a 5 hour drive from where i live to portland, oregon!

i'll probably wait til the new year though - i'm trying to get a universal exhaust as my next mod anyways.

Dude, if your order it I can give you phone number of my friend in Tallinn who knows cars really good. He did Nissan Sylvia engine rebuilt and whe might put cams in for you.
I still wonder, why people shelling out $230 for intakes which worth 5 hp and do not install $170 cams which worth 12 hp.

Sometimes grease is difficult to get out from under your nails.

But really, an aftermarket intake is cake to install. Some people are weary about cracking into their engine to swap a cam. Messing with internals is a big step for the newbie modder.

Stop whining, I have the damn intake cam sitting 5 feet from me...Now, I can either waste $200 to get it installed and waste another $200 once the exhaust cam comes in, which is on order and has been paid for by me. If anyone is willing to pay for the second install I'd be more than happy get full dyno results on the intake camshaft alone.

Now until then, I will keep you posted...I'm debating on whether to just reinstall that cam or wait.

Opinions? Questions?

One or two Protege owners have installed this cam already. I don't believe they've dynoed their cars though. Many 2.0 FS engine Probe/MX-6/626 owners have though, and they said it gives 8 to 10 WHP and moves the power band up about 400 RPM. http://www.probenet.com/

Ok guys. Despite how long it took to get these exhaust cams in the US, Corksport received their shipment and mine should be on my doorstep within the next few days. I'm making my appointment to get the jspec intake cam reinstalled and the Mazdaspeed exhaust cam installed, for this weekend.

Although I won't be able to drive up to Richmond until after the holidays because of the busy schedule, I'll try and get it dynoed soon. Until, then I'll just take pictures of the install and get them up.
