Just as it says..I just Changed my ECU out w/ an MP3 ecu..and damn does it feel nice...The car has some pep!! I would suggest to anyone who wants some quick hp..and is not going turbo..to do the same!!

As many of you know..I am running a Nitrous Express Kit...50shot...and Just wanted to let people know that i am now approaching the 200hp maker!! W/ out a Turbo!!

How much did you pay for the ECU?? Did you get it through the dealership for a grand?...FM said there is not much of different between the MP3 and stock FS ECU's...

 

Acutally i trade w/ KZA...I believe he is a member on this board...It was a straight up trade..he is going turbo..so he traded w/ me!!

Well they are wrong..It's a worth while trade to anyone who isn't going tubo!!

I blew up my 90 Talon with nitrous and advanced timing, it took about 8 months to do it. I think advanced timing weakens the tops of your pistons over time, well depending on how far it is advanced. If your nitrous kit is a wet kit I would say that you will be fine.

 

I am looking for the amount that the mp3 advances the timing...I believe that it's not that much..b/c i am only gaining 5hp at the wheels...

Plus i figure that i can run NX Octane Booster...When shooting...

Are you going to dyno your car and prove your "close to 200hp mark w/out turbo" statement?

 

I plan to hit the dyno..But i want to get a Header in there!!

So i should be getting to the dyno by fall time!!

I am out of job..and need to get some money to get me on my feet first!!

every bit of dyno testing and tuning helps build to the knowledge base, ya know?

 

I was going to change mine out but everybody I know says I will have to get it programmed to my car.

Did you just swap them out, and drive away?
Or did you have to get it programmed?

 

Nope..I just swapped ecu's and ran..93 octane..that's it!!

we try to get a big group to go dyno (dyno day!) and it comes out to 40 bucks for 2 pulls plus 10-20 if you want the sniffer...

 

Do anyone know if you can put a MP3 ECU in a 99 lx pro?
