Kartboy bushing mishap

Kartboy bushing mishap
I installed the kartboy bushing and I was very pleased with the way it smoothed out my shifting. Now the only problem is that the bolt holding it on loosened and fell off while I was driving. I didnt use any lock-tight, and that is what the parts guy told me is what I did wrong.
The bad part of this whole situation is that I lost the little metal sleeve that stays between the bushing and pin. Mazda doesn't sell that part separately for 3rd gens so I might have to buy the whole mechanism which is 260$ can!!!
Hopefully the sleeve for 2nd gens will fit cause it costs 3$ and is available thru mazda.
I'll let you all know if it fits or if I can find a cheap replacement. As for anyone installing the bushing themselves, make sure you torque to proper spec(or slightly higher) and use some lock-tight or other adhesive to ensure a TIGHT fit.

All the automotive companies are doing that( only selling things complete). When I had my P/U I needed the **** for the seat adjustment lever. I was told that I had to buy the whole f'n adjustment assembly.Luckily my best friend worked there and got one through his "connections".

Ok well I got all my parts today and I fixed my problem. Turns out that little pipe for 2nd gens is the right size but is slightly too long. I didnt have to cut it, cause it turns out I still had the little pipe stuck in my bushing. I hadnt taken a very good look the first time.
Anyhow, the whole stuff cost me 10 bucks and was easy to fix. I put a little glue on the bolt when i screwed it in this time so the same problem wouldnt happen again.

Same thing just happened to me........i lost the bolt, but have the bushing and the little black ring that goes in behind it. Do you think i can find a bolt to fit it without going to Mazda? I was doing 120km at the time about to shift into 5th when it felt like air. Can i damage anything driving it with out the bolt on the linkage? Please let me know.

Impact:
Im not quite sure what you mean by ring. If you are talking about a washer than you need: 1 more washer, 1 pipe to go in between the stud and bushing, 1 bolt and a new bushing(kartboy or stock).
If the ring is the pipe that goes in between the bushing and stud, then you need 2 washers, 1 bolt, 1 new bushing.
Here are some useful partno:
bolt: 9994-01-001
washer:GA2A-46-164A
pipe(also called sleeve in the kartboy instructions) is not available as a separate piece but you can get a 2nd gen pipe. This piece fits exactly except for the fact that it is slightly too long and needs to be cut. Better deal than buying a whole new assembly if you ask me. The pipe for 2nd gens is B092-46-047. If you come in the montreal region once in a while I could give you the one I ordered since I didnt need it. Itll save you 3 bucks.
