Mazda MP3-P5 chips/tuners
http://www.fordchip.com/
He says he can do both for us. He does good work. I had one of his fOCUS chips. E-mail him to find out more.

my ford chip guy says he's never done one but thinks it's possible.....this guy has no mention of ever having done one on his site and knows for a fact he can?? sounds fishy.
He'd need an ecu and a test car to even set this up...who lives near there? If it's a ture P&P chip we'd need a baseline dyno (3pulls on freshly reset ecu), then the tune (best you can get). Pull the chip, get another baseline, install the chip and do the final 3 pulls. This will show you exactly what kind of gains you're getting.
Someone is going to have to rent a dyno out for probably a half day and pay for his travel and what-not.

sounds good...but where's his proof that he can make any kind of power with our ecus??
iirc, this is exactly what I mentioned was just re-flashing the ecu with a handheld tool....but you've got to do some dyno tuning first to see what needs to be adjusted!
I'm going to be weary on this one. This guy seems more interested in talking $$$ than talking gains. That's not a good sign in my book.

in all honesty I dont think he can do any of the older protege ecu's.....he may have good success with the newer mazda3 and 6 ecu's but I don't think he's got any experience with the actual tuning of the ecu.
Anyone advertising a product for sale like this would have SOME kind of dyno chart or detailed information.

All I know is that the fOCUS chip I got of him is great, and he has tuned some unusual combos. A lot of v-6 Ford and fOCUS guys swear by him. It was the best chip I have EVER had. If there is enough tax money left, I will try him.

yeah, if he does good ford work, thats awesome....the problem is our ecu only uses ford PARTS...not ford mapping.
p.s. see if he's got a good chip for a 1990 SHO with full exhaust, cai and P&Pintake manifold with big bore butterflies.

Hey not to thread jack or anything, but whats wrong with a jet chip?? Will it not do anything for us, or what. Cause i was looking into one but I know how our cars are all kinds of messed with up with not being able to change alternators because of the ecu and the spark plug deal. So just curious. Thanks.
