There is a scoop on the gaurds under your car that feeds cool air right onto filter. If there is any heat coming off the exhaust its from the primary cat (we don't have a header, its an exhaust manifold; there is a difference). The Injen intake is pulling air from the fender/wheel well and is just as easy to install. the only difference is that you relocate a resivoir and have to install the filter from off the car (please don't take the bumper cover off as it is an un-needed step). The air may be cooler there, but the flow is not as good. It is a trade off and to be honest the K&N panel filter is as good of an investment as the intake.
Please think before you post. Sorry if I seemed like an *** when I flamed on you after one post, but it pisses me off when people mislead the board members.

If I get some eibach springs and throw them over my stock struts(I think that is how it goes), I would have to change my struts in a year or so?

Reply: AEM sux.
I just wanted to reply to the opinion posted about the AEM short ram intake. First off AEM does not make a CAI, the intake AEM does make kinda gives the appearance of a cai due to the position and the angle it sits in. It was also stated that the AEM intake takes in hot air, that may have been true from the 1.8 liter version (which will fit the 2.0 engine. ) However due to the temp under the hood AEM redesigned the intake for the 2.0 engine. I personally feel that the AEM intake is the most worry free of the two (injen cai). I know what every one will say that with a bypass valve the intake will be fine, but who has really tested one to ensure that it works flawlessly! Personally I do not have another 4500.00 to drop on another engine.
