motor swap

im wondering what will fit right in a 2002 protege 5? it is an automatic and i would like to keep it like. is it easier to put a stock 2.0l from the factory back in or can i go wit the 2.0l fs ze motor wit 170hp? can someone that knows about this kind of stuff inform me please ASAP. thanks donnie

there is really no motor swap that nets you any real gains on the 3rd gen Protege. the FS-ZE won't show you any gains without the Jspec ECU, which won't work on our cars without a totally different harness among other things. Your best bet, and cheaper in the long run, is to go with a turbo kit.
