MP3 chip in a 1.8L

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting a chip or having my ECU reprogrammed. I don't plan on doing a Turbo- just basic bolt ons (Headers, Intake, exhaust). I heard from Flying Miata that the MP3 Chip is good for about 5 hp. Would this work on my 1.8L (2000 ES)?
How much for an MP3 ECU? I heard they aren't good for turbos, so if anyone is going turbo and wants to sell the MP3 ECU maybe give me a halla.

If the MP3 ECU won't work, is there a recomended chip or reprogrammer that anyone knows of?

Thanks,
