MP3 ECU in a P5, Sucess story (from my end)
We had our first Protege meet in Charlotte and I did an ECU swap with one of the Turbo guys. I have had no codes and I feel a power difference. I hope to take it to the dyno within the next few weeks and I will come back with real numbers.
The guy that I did a swap with hasn't gotten in touch with me so im asumming that it went ok for him too. Maybe I can get him to post something soon.
Sorry I haven't researched whether this topic has been beaten to death or not, I just didn't see anything on the first page here.

flyin miata did swaps between a p5 and the mp3. there are HP and torque differences between the 2, and the power bands are different as well. www.fmprotege.com

Yes I swapped mine recently too. Not a P5 but a ES. I am happy, feels smoother to me more then anything. I would onl expect about 2 - 3 horsepower though. I would rather see how much the power curve has changed more then peak HP.

Yeah but that is on a Turbo P5, I don't think i have seen any stock P5's with the swap do a dyno test.
